Zenith Boom

Ultralight Bistable Composite Structure

The Zenith Bistable is our flagship high-performance deployable structure, capable of holding two stable states (coiled and extended) without complex locks.

Engineered with BhorForce® advanced composites, it delivers exceptional reliability. The standard 50cm variant weighs just ~10g—lighter than a coin—yet supports a 120g payload, making it ideal for mass-constrained missions.

Key Features

Technology Bistable Composite
Strength High Stiffness-to-Weight
Applications Antennas, Sensors
Variants Bistable / Deployment

Zenith Boom

Custom Order

Extremely lightweight deployable boom with a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Uses bistable composite technology (BhorForce® UC160C and LY556 epoxy) to hold two stable configurations without external force.

The Zenith Bistable is our flagship high-performance deployable structure capable of holding two stable configurations (coiled and extended) without the need for complex locking mechanisms. Engineered with precision layup strategies and BhorForce® advanced composites, it delivers exceptional reliability and mass efficiency. Achieving an exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio, the standard 50cm variant weighs just ~10g yet supports a 120g payload (uniformly distributed) delivering massive performance for mass-constrained missions.

Ideal for CubeSat antennas, solar sail deployment, and instrument booms where volume constraints are critical.

Extreme Lightweight: Our booms are exceptionally light—the version shown here is actually lighter than a 5 Rupee Indian coin, weighing just ~7.5g.

Zenith Deployment Boom: We also offer a non-bistable configuration optimized with a strong built-in deployment bias. This variant provides enhanced stability and deployment force for self-deployable applications, ensuring consistent extension when external restraint is released.
